University of Nebraska President Jeffrey P. Gold, M.D., will deliver his 2025 State of the University address at noon on Thursday, Sept. 4, from the second-floor rotunda of the Nebraska State Capitol.
This year’s address marks Dr. Gold’s first anniversary as president of the University of Nebraska System. Building on his “Odyssey to Extraordinary” vision, he will define what “extraordinary” means for the University of Nebraska and share his priorities for achieving it. Dr. Gold will reflect on the University’s current standing; celebrate recent accomplishments in research, teaching, engagement and service; and outline bold steps to position NU for long-term success.
Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to attend in person or watch the event via livestream. Livestream access will be available on this page starting at noon on Sept. 4th.
